The   Self  within  us  can  activate  IT's  influence    faraway,though  remain   still  in us ,  can  move  everything  everywhere.
The  SELF  can not  be  known   through  Scriptures, nor intellect,  nor  by  hearing   learned   discourses  but  cant be  attained  by  those   whom the  SELF   choose.
IT  can  not be known  by  those  who   desist  not   from  UN-righteous  path  or  does  not still   his  mind
or  practices  Contemplation / Meditation.
THAT  sweeps away   the  rituals  of  'priests',  powers of  warriors  and  puts  DEATH  itself  to Death.
(One  can not  see his  own   eyes  without  reflection)

Transcend   from  fearful  fragmentation   to fear-free  fullness .Accepting   only   the   changeless WHOLE  --is the   way.

SENSES   are  Horses;  Selfish-DESIRE   the ROAD
DISCRIMINATION  and   one-POINT-MIND  the   real  GUIDES.

SENSE  derives   from   OBJECTS---Objects  from MIND
Mind  from   INTELLECT  ; Intellect  from   EGO
Ego   from UN-differentiated   CONSCIOUSNESS
Consciousness   from    BRAHMAN (First  Cause   or  DIVINE ).

GOD-Knowing  is  Super-Conscious  KNOWING;  not a  perceptual (EMF) power.

KATHOPANISHAD :  What   is   DEATH  ?  A   FINISH   or   A  TRANSIT  ??

Doesa   a  person  live   after  Death   or  he   does  not  ?

The  Joy  of  Atman (Soul)  ever    abides  but  ------->what    seems    pleasant  to   the   senses   may   not  be joy.
They miss  the goal   of   life  who   prefer the   sensual  Pleasnts .
Perrenniall  joy  temporal  pleasure  -----.> ' that  is the  Question '.
Ignorant  of    their    ignirance  yet    wise    in   their    own  self  esteem,  most   of   men   go   round  and   and round   like  the   blind   led   by   the   blind..
They  who   see   themselves  in   all   and  all  in   themselves , help  others  through    spiritual  osmosis.
TheReal   'awakening' does   not   come  through Logic  or    Scholarship.
Know,--that  you  are  neither  body  nor  mind   but   only  the   Eternal  Self .
Sense - restraint   and  selective  sself-  denial   is the  real  Tao of   Self-realization .
'OM'(A-U-M) is   the  Symbol  of  God - head  &  SELF was   never   born  nor  shall   ever  die.

CH -VII:   Narada   Learns  from   Sanatkumar:
Narada    approached    Sanatkumar   and  boasted  that he  read  all   the   Veda-s,  Epics   and  Grammers,   Rituals etc &  etc .
Sanatkumar  retorted--' They  are  only  words  and  names  of   finite  phenomena  .Every  thing  in  the
 Cosmos, living  and  non-living  , come  from   the  SELF  too.
Control  the  Senses  and  purify  the Mind   and  you will  know  everything'.

CITY   OF  BRAHMAN

As great  as  the  infinite space  outside,  is also  the  Space  ,  whether  we  admit or  not.
Those  who  depart   from   the World  without  knowing   who    they  are,  have  no  ' Freedom'  here  nor  there. They will  see   as  their  desires   are   and  not  the   REALITY   Absolute  even   in  the   other  Life.
 Objects  of    Desire   come   from   the   Power   of  their own   'Thoughts'.
In   this World  our   self-less   desires  are  hidden    by  our  our  selfish  ones.
All  things  we  love   in   this  life  but  could  not  have ,  reamain  as dormant  desire , willb found   when  we  enter  that   Space-within.
Negative  thoughts   or   world   can   not  enter  the  World   of    Brahman ..
The   blind  is  nomore  blind   after  Death.
As   Darkness  or Night  Can  not  enter  the   sphere of   Brahman ,there the night   also  becomes  day.
And   Self   does   desire   nothing   that   is  gross.

[Story   of   SHETAKETU:]
(BEE----FLOWER ----HONEY------ ;BRAHMAN   ( Like  Salt  In   Water).
Shetaketu   was  Uddalaka's  son  and studied  all   the   Veda-s   for   12  years   and  returned home as proud and  confidant.
His  father  asked  : 'Did   you  ask your   teacher  for Spiritual   Wisdom  that  enable  one  to hear  the  UN-heared, , think  the UN-Thought,  or  know   the UN-known'?
" What   is that  wisdom father ?"---asked   Shetaketu.
The father:  ' In  the  beginning   was   the   BRAHMAN ,  the ONE  without   Second .And  there  is  nothing  that does not  come out  of  THAT .
In  dreamless  Sleep  one is  with  the  SELF,  though   he knows  it  not.
As   the   bee  suck   honey  from  many   flowers  and all  honey  become   ONE,  so that   no  drop  can   say , --I  am from  this   or  that  flower, all  living  beings  are  from that   ONE   but  only --,theydonot  know.
There is  nothing  that  does not come out  of  Brahman .
 Of   everything ,  THAT  is the   INMOST  Self.

DEATH  ---->The   HOUSE   is     DESERTED ;   the   DWELLER   is  GONE  .
When  Death  comes , the  Self  departs   from  the   body . The  Body  dies   but  the  Self  DOES  NOT.

Now,   bring  some  salt . --- put  it  in   water  and   bring  it  to morrow .--------(next day)
What  you taste  in water'
Shetaketu  --'  I  taste salt   everywhere  father! '
Father :  -' You are   that   Shetaketu  ,  you   are  that '.

THE SELF   OR  DIVINE  IS    BEYOND  DUALITY  (SELF and  individual  Self  is  like  The Sun Vs Sun-shine).
All   Sensory Organs  with  Mind  combind ,  are  only  Instruments of  Self.

"There,  eyes  can  not  see, nor  speech  can  express  nor Mind can reach
nor   even  through  knowledge  nor Science  by which  we  can   measure   IT"

If  one thinks   he    knows  the SELF,   he  knows  not .

Taste   of   orange-juice  can not  be   explained  but   only  experienced .

Only   way of  Knowing  the SELF   is   Self  - Realization

To try  to  know  SELF  through  intellect  is   only   Ignorant's  dream.

As  THAT  is beyond  Duality ,how  can  one  Know IT   without  being  it?

Gods  defeated  Demons  and  were proud  but  Brahanan  knew  their   foolish   pride  and approach   them in   disguise   and  exposed  their   in-capacities .
*How  can   one   know   his  own  HOME  without  entering   it   himself ?

THE  SELF   IS  COLLECTIVE   CONSCIOUSNESS  THE ONLY '  SUBJECT'   IN  ANY    OBJECTIVE  -  ANALYSIS   .
 WE   KNOW  A   THING   GIFTED  BY   THAT  CONSCIOUSNESS.
Like, without   some Light   we  can   not    see  even   with   our  perfect   Visual -organs .

VEDANTA     means   culmination   VEDIC   RITUALS  &   Darshan (Darshanis   not Philosophy but spiritualexperience).
Krishna Dwaipayan  who   classiffied  the whole   Veda   and  was  known  as  Veda-vyas    who  Classified Veda    as   follows :

Four    Parts   e.g     RIK ----- -SAAM-- ---JOZU    and   ATHARBA.

Out  of  those    four Vedas , eleven    UPANISHADS   were   recognized    by  Adi Shankaracharya
in  the  following  way:

Before  trying to tell  anything  about   Vedanta  or  Upanishads  as a Layman    without  any   claim   to Authority  or  scholarship  I will  like to  submit  that from my  student -days     the  life and  teachings  of  SriRamakrishna   and  'Kathamrita 'of   SreeMo (  Read  5 to  6 ttimes  & still  read  at times ) had  great influence   on  me .
After  my  Marraige ,my   wife Sunanda  who  did  M. A in  sanskrit  brought with  her  11  Upanishads in three Volumes written   by Swami Gombhirananda  of Rama krishna Mission  which injected t in  me the interest  in Spritual Science  ,in-spite of  my  Medical  student ship , carrier  and  my  passion   for poetry  and  Art.
Alongwith ,Life of  SwamiVivekananda  Written  by  more than  one  Biographer including Roma Rollain and Finally Complete  Works  of   Swami  vivekananda (read  more than once and am still  following )became  my   spiritual  guide  in  life.
Then  inspiration , while in USA,came  from  reading  of  "THE  UPANISHADS" by   EkmathEswaran ( ISBN 13 - 978 - 0 -925132 -39-3) and the   desire  to  write something  about Vedanta   for ordinary  people  (  by a  layman  like me ) went on  germinating  within  me .

"Not  by the  reading of  books   can we  realize the  SELF "---Upanishads .(Quote  from "Is  Vedanta  the  future   Religion "by Vivekananda, Advaita Ashram,India ;5 Th  impression ,1979).

As I  understood:
 In Sanskrit the  word  'Vid' means   Knowledge - eternal and  all-inclusive  i.e   from  the very  beginning of  Cosmic-Intelligence  and unto  the   present   day   and  beyond,in  any  form.
And  VEDANTA  tells about  the  Knowledge    of  the    FIRST CAUSE  (Supreme  God  or  Allah   or  Shiva of  Cosmic   Religions  or  Grand Designer  of  Cosmology ).
In  my  next  submissions  I shall   try  to   express  the  way  I have  understood  it  up-till  now .

TWO:   I  dont   like  "Mohatma"--  the  political   SHIELD
as , all  'atma-s '( Soul)   are  from   Divine not  from   Mohot ,a lower  'Field'.

THREE :  I  do not like   Mon- Moohon   however   tall  or  short
Take it as my   genetic     fault   and    DIKBI  is free  to retort 

BUT:   one   whom   I  admire    most  Really,   is    SONIA    the Feminine form 
like 'Matter - Courage'  she    proved   her  'place' ; Spirit &strength  
through all  Political- Storm !
