' REAR   WINDOW '

No !   not  that  famous   Hitchcock  type
with  plastered  Hero   or  kitchen- knives .
This  is  a  cozy    window  for  a  recluse  one
for  pastime  in  tropical  suburban  life .

Facing   the   Sun-set   Sky    with  eve-time  life
with  historic G.T . road   millennium  years  old
within  my  bi-focal  view.
where  the   narrow  lane  from   the   nearby  Ganges
meets  the  road   tempting  my  sight.
Yet  this  crowded  narrow  road  is  busier  than
USA-  metropolis   type .

Here  the  garbage  is     piled  up  near  light-post   base
 some  stray dogs  happily  find  their  break-fast   feast
barking  at  times  , like   a  family -quarrel
Even  two   child  labors   carrying  their  treasure - sack
explore  the   garbage -heap , for  a   better  time !

The  rickshaw -pullers   test  their  vital  breath
with  by-cycles   speeding  past
Trucks  and  cars   are  no  more  rare
even s  'Nano-s'  sometimes .

This  is  like  honeymoon - time  of  civilization
old  and new  of   India  now  !
 Even  the  river  Ganges  is    close   to  my  other  side
This  is   much  better  an evening life  - and
 no !  I  won't  exchange  it  now  for  even  a
New York  type .
