Q: Should there be only one Religion in the world ?
A = Should there be only one variety of flower in a Flower-Garden ?
Q ; But what about Ritualism ?
A = Ritualism is an integral part of any DEVOTIONAL practice. Even the best violinist has to practice a certain poise or posture for best performance . Not only in religion but even in SPORTS and Scientific Re-search certain regular poise & practices are essential . Only UN-necessary and UN-explained or irrational habits may be labelled as bad ritualism .
Q : Do you believe in Idols and images.
A = Yes and No!. Any thing that helps in spiritual growth and ascent is good. The photo of your parents in your Drawing room ; is it an Idol ? what is your opinion ? Or your child's wooden Play- horse ; is it an idol or should it be discarded / or the cross symbol of a good Christian ; that too an idol ?
Q " Do you believe in Re-birth or re-incarnation ?
A = Yes ! Do you not believe in Re-cycling ?
Q : Why Hindus have so many gods ?A = Hindus have not only so many gods but to a good Hindu every thing is divine and with god within . Even your cosmos is within the SUPREME GOD , --the ABSOLUTE or GRAND DESIGNER.
Of course we have smaller gods or AVATARS like your Christ , like Mohammad, like Rama . To Us GOD & gods are different Logos . Like your GOD and Jesus - are Father& Son , we have our Purushottama & and lower gods of different ranks and files .
To a good SANATANIST ( mutated term -Hindu), every thing is Divine's expression , -from stone stone to trees to microbes to insects to animals to final animal i.e the conscious or super-conscious MAN.
Our religion is not even MONISTIC but Absolute MONISM i.e GOD & Matter & living world is not different entity( DUALISTIC IDEA )but UNITARY ONE. Or in another way GOD is the one and everything else are only part within or Fractions or DECIMALS. There are only two integers One and Zero.All others are fractions only !
Absolute Monism should mean : everything is DIVINE and within that DIVINE is --i you , Hindu, Muslim , Christian , Jews , all living beings and non living logos and even our Universe and Cosmos !
