AT the  MEAT - SHOP
=================

PREMISE  : This   poem    was  composed  in 1960-s  and published  in CACTUS   , Calcutta  ; 1968.
This  is  about   how  I   discovered ' PEACE'  in   Indian - Meat -Shops,   where   goats
are  killed  by  chopping   them  at  neck
then   skinned  and   hung  by    hind-legs  hooked .
And  then  sold  piece  by    piece  ;  with    'Peace'
                     and   compromise  all  around .

Trasnsliteration  now  :( in  response  to  NOBEL  PEACE -PRIZE  declared , 2014 ).

The  POEM :  (  AT   MEAT   SHOP ).

Can't  help   praising  you   my friend
oh!  shop - Owner !
with   what  an  exquisite  Skill
you  mastered  the  Art  of   stabilizing  PEACE
with  UNIQUE  success !

Consciousness   is   like  an  obstinate  Gorilla
and   shaping  them  by knife  ; piece   by  piece
is   a  great success  story  , I  know
Decapitating    any  throbbing  desire
 skinning    them   off
one  can   climb  to  the   alter of    PPEACE
There  is  no  scope  of  antagonism
or  Revolt   around  you .

When,   the   soft -sensitive  part  of  our  brain -where
the    buds  of  our  CONSCIOUSNESS  sprout
and by  desiccating   that  in  Modern  way
we  can  build  the  ALTER  of   advancing  PEACE
 another  way !

And  by  arranging ,- piece  by   piece    ; as  blood - bathed  packs
Life  and  living  can   be   synthetically  organized  well
There  is  no  contradiction  in  your  skill-full   zone !

Any  conditioned  EXISTENCE  even  if hung   by  hooks
and   down -side -up  can  be ' NORM '
like  this   bleeding  SURRENDER  of
Sacrificed  and  Guillotined    Life .

I  see  and   learn   and  sadly  yet  admit
I  can not  - I  can not
and   I  never  can  !
