NEW AGE STORY ( IN VERSE )

BAD   LUCK
==========
Not   the  best   time
Maybe , ' it was  the  worst  '
the  Nation  was   in  mammon - game
and  corruption ,-  the  best  enterprize  !

He  was  very  poor  and  without job
and   sick    for  a  week
the   wife  was  a  domestic -maid
and  three  children  all  suffering .
so   he  decided  ti  die .

He bought  a  bottle  of  pesticide
labelled ' Hundred  percent  pure'
even   more   printed  :  GUARANTEED
he  drank  it full  to be sure.
he  waited  and waited  ;  could  not  die
next  day  , -- even   felt     good .
He  was  furious   now   and   made  F.I.R
and sued  the   shop-keeper  soon .

It  was  revealed that   the  pesticide
was   80 %      adulterated   staff
and   worked  now  like  medicine
that's  why    he was   now   all  right  !

Was  it  the  best  time  or  worst  time
I  donno '  --the readers should   tell .

POETRY TELLS NOTHING NEW

POETRY  TELLS     NOTHING   NEW
===========================
It  tells  nothing   new
 in  only-Creative- God's   device

Poetry  is   only  the  Art   of  telling
in  Renewed   way   all  that was   ever  told
often time !

Poetry  is  the  art  of   telling
only that telling
and only  that  telling
may  be  creative  style.

Poets  tell  or  sculpt  out    from
ever  repeating  thoughts   from olden times
up to date.

Words  are  only  chips  or  pigment
 to  lay   or      paint  - - - -
as  he  can .

FOR MY 'NEW AGE POETRY "

Some  times  I  feel
I  need  some  'nut-cracker'  or  CRUSHER'
or  Hydraulic  Press
to  crush  most  of the  WORDS
over -used or ' Dead'
or  molested  over-time  !

What  feel    I  can't  express
what   I  write ,  do  not express what  I  feel
Sometime   it  seems ,-  my   Poem   is
some  second-message  even  to  me
or  like   a  cheated   over-used  whore  !!

I  toss  and  turn  ; change for  ex-change
I  search  and Scan  for  new   face  of  WORD
or ' Thausseraus - way'  for   Replacement
and  try  to  Re-create   Sculpt out on  another  term
 from  the heap
or  my  buried  POEM
within  my  Soul .

Often I  cannot
and  then     search  for  a  heavy crusher
or   nut-cracker, at  least  .

POETRY ON COSMOLOGY

So,  you  admit now
It was  not  the   SINGLE   'BANG '
BIG  or  small
nor   some  billions  of  years  before
nor  with  'WIMP' or  Crush  it  will  end
Endless   UNIVERSES     within   the   'GOD '
(you name  them  now  as   '   MULTIVERSE ')
and ETERNAL  ,  - without  shackles  of TIME !

YES,
They  said   it  in  VEDIC - Time
at least  half-a-dozen   MILLENNIUM- YEARS  back
before even   period  of  QUINTESSENCE  of  Greeks
that :
UNIVERSES  do  come  and  they  die
as  the  DIVINE  breathes   IN  and  OUT .

And  the  ELEMENTS   are but  * EIGHT  , not FIVE
including   'POSITIVE   NOTHINGNESS" - known
as  'DARK  ENERGY' ,DARK-  MATTER  in   COSMIC- Science .

'OM"   the    DIVINE's    Ultimate   Vibrating  'SONG '
lie    even  ever- and  beyond   Planck' Unit   and    any   ' String'
And   your COSMOS  is
The  OUTCOME   of     DIVINE'S  CONSCIOUSNESS- WHIM !!
AND
LIFE  and   EXISTENCE   the    PLAY  OF THAT
EFFULGENT   IMMUTABLE    LUMINOUS   THEME  !

WILL MEET AGAIN

Will  meet  again
if  LOVE  has  paved  our path
distance  and  difference   will   shrink
until  and  at   last
this  separate  voyage   fuse in   one .

Will  meet  again
if  it  is  LOVE
that  unite  us   in  a  single  string
all  and each   and   bound  in  ONE

The   tiny    flow  shall  join  the  stream
for , Faith  and  Love  are   playful  twins
and  together  they  grow   in  each  other's  arm.

Life  fulfilled  with  inner  glow
will    come   close    and   surely  meet
here  or  there    or  beyond   this  ' STREET'.

New Delhi: The probe into coal block allocation scam, which got CBI the sobriquet of "caged parrot" from the Supreme Court and saw the exit of Law Minister Ashwani Kumar over his alleged interference, marked the agency's functioning during a tumultuous year for it.

The passage of the Lokpal Bill by Parliament this year is likely to bring a major change in the working of CBI since the Supreme Court order in the Vineet Narain case in 1997 which had brought in the supervision of Central Vigilance Commission and gave CBI chief a fixed tenure of two years aimed at freeing the agency from the clutches of bureaucracy.

The angry comments of the apex court not only claimed the ministerial scalp of Kumar but also set in motion the modalities for the autonomy of the agency, which according to Supreme Court, has become "voice of its political masters".

The battered government scrambled its best brains in the Cabinet to constitute a group of ministers, which met a number of times, and came up with suggestions to give only "functional autonomy" to the agency. The financial powers of the CBI Director were given a significant boost but Centre did not agree to give him rank and powers on par with the Secretary of the government of India.

The proposed Lokpal will have powers to refer cases to CBI and keep an eye on the ongoing probe. It will also have powers to transfer officers who will be probing cases referred by it.

Senior officials of the agency agree that new rules of procedure would be required for this change in working.

Even as clamour for giving autonomy to CBI was going on, the agency carried out a major search operation and arrested Vijay Singla, nephew of the then Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, and Railway Board member Mahesh Kumar.

How nature's recipes help in combating cholesterol

Comments 0
Cholesterol lowering food components include dietary fibres, good fats, phytosterols and some vitamins. Cholesterol lowering food components include dietary fibres, good fats, phytosterols and some vitamins.
SUMMARYThere is an increasing awareness of the side effects of long term use of statins.
Statins are a group of cholesterol lowering drugs, prescribed to prevent heart disease.
But, now there is an increasing awareness of the side effects of long term use of these drugs, with many looking to switch to natural alternatives. This is useful for people with high cholesterol due to dietary absorption.
A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that eating certain foods can lower your cholesterol levels just as well as drugs do, sometimes proving to be more effective.
Cholesterol lowering food components include dietary fibres, good fats, phytosterols and some vitamins. In this particular study, researchers found that foods such as soy protein, tofu, various other soy products, nuts and cereal fiber, as well as plant sterols, can lower total cholesterol, especially LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), better than statin drugs.
Other less commonly known compounds and nutrients with cholesterol lowering benefits include probiotics like lactobacillus (obtained from fermented food products), guggulipids, red yeast rice, policosanol (found in jaggery and sugar cane), grape seed extract, cinnamon, turmeric, niacin, pantethine, found in the form of Vitamin B-5) and vitamin C.
Dietary fibre, specially soluble fibre, has been shown to significantly lower cholesterol LDL, while levels of good cholesterol (HDL) remain unchanged. Soluble fibres can be found in foods such as oats, barley, legumes (peas, beans), certain fruits (apples, prunes, and berries), certain vegetables (carrots, broccoli, yams). Interestingly, oatmeal is the only whole grain food recognised by the FDA to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease.
Psyllium husk has also been known to exhibit cardio-protective role due to its high fibre content and beta-sitosterol (a plant sterol).
Another alternative is good fats. Accumulating data from observational and clinical trials have reported that omega-3 fats actually reduce risk of heart disease by reducing triglycerides and total cholesterol. These could be included through fish, walnuts, flaxseed and green leafy vegetables.
The Harvard School of Public Health advises that nuts have favourable effects on blood lipids and cholesterol reduction.

Arvind Kejriwal: The roots of India's new leader

Arvind KejriwalArvind Kejriwal has made a spectacular debut in Indian politics

Related Stories

Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of a new anti-corruption party in India, will be sworn in as the chief minister of Delhi on Saturday. BBC Hindi's Zubair Ahmed visited his ancestral village to trace the beginnings of an unconventional politician who has made a spectacular debut.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the swearing in ceremony at the sprawling Ramlila Maidan (grounds) in the capital.
Many in the audience will be from his tiny, impoverished ancestral village of Kheda in the northern state of Haryana, some 200km (124 miles) from Delhi.
Mr Kejriwal was born in the neighbouring village of Siwani, where his trader father had migrated to since it boasted a wholesale market. He studied in the eastern city of Calcutta and joined a top engineering school in West Bengal state's Kharagpur town.
But his family is better known in Kheda. The Kejriwal home is derelict and needs a makeover. But it stands out as the largest building in the village.
Villagers say Mr Kejriwal's ancestors have built a school, tube well, temple, community hall and a public rest house in Kheda - much "more than what the government has done here".
"We are forever grateful and proud of how much they have done for us over the years," says village elder Ram Chand Sharma.
'Dead honest'
Most of the 2,000-odd residents of Kheda have actually never met Mr Kejriwal: he has no friends here and the relatives have few memories of his growing up years. He occasionally visited the village during festivals and weddings.
Yet, they are full of praise for the 44-year-old man who has become the most talked about leader in the country.
A former civil servant, Mr Kejriwal was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay award for Emergent Leadership, widely described as Asia's Nobel prize, for social work and initiatives to fight corruption in 2006.
Two years ago, he set up a group called India Against Corruption aimed at putting pressure on the government to bring about tough anti-corruption laws.
The rest, as the villagers say, is history.
Tara Chand Sharma, a village elder, says with an exaggerated gesture of his hands: "My chest swells with pride that my grandson will be the chief minister of Delhi." He calls Mr Kejriwal his grandson since he knew his grandfather.
"The boy is dead honest. We need people like him as leaders."
Sanjay Kumar, another neighbour, is convinced Mr Kejriwal's "clean image" was the legacy of his "generous but honest family".
Arvind Kejriwal's ancestral house in KhedaArvind Kejriwal's ancestral home in Kheda is in need of repairs
Neighbours of Arvind KejriwalMany of Kheda's residents have joined Mr Kejriwal's party
Mr Kejriwal's uncle Girdhari Lal and a few other elders in the family clearly remember him as being studious.
"He never messed with anyone in school. On a few occasions we saw him, we found him glued to his text books. He was always reading," says Mr Lal.
Mr Kejriwal and his party's crusade against corruption has impressed villagers here, who have been queuing up to join his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) or Common Man's Party.
Daljit Sharma, a former village headman and Congress worker, has now joined Mr Kejriwal's party.
"We are just awaiting his orders. People are joining him in droves. He has changed the way we do politics in our country," Mr Sharma says.
His sentiments were echoed by another villager, Sanjiv Kumar: "The first change he has brought about is refusing to take government security [as the chief minister] and making direct contacts with ordinary people.
"These are powerful acts and they have left deep impressions on our minds."

CANCER TONGUE : NEW WRITE - UP

Surgery, not chemo, better for tongue cancer

Friday, Dec 27, 2013, 13:42 IST | Place: NEW YORK | Agency: IANS
Surgery, and not chemotherapy sessions, works better for those suffering from tongue or oral cavity cancer.
In a pathbreaking study, a team of scientists at the University of Michigan's Comprehensive Cancer Center concluded that patients with tongue cancer who started their treatment with chemotherapy fared significantly worse than patients who received surgery first.
"To a young person with tongue cancer, chemotherapy may sound like a better option than surgery with extensive reconstruction. But patients with oral cavity cancer can't tolerate induction chemotherapy as well as they can handle surgery with follow-up radiation," said study author Douglas Chepeha, professor of otolaryngology.
"Our techniques of reconstruction are advanced and offer patients better survival and functional outcomes," Chepeha added. The study was published in the Nature magazine.
According to researchers, the immune system is critical in oral cavity cancer, and chemotherapy suppresses the immune system. If a person is already debilitated, they don't do well with chemotherapy.
"Despite the proven success of this strategy in laryngeal cancer, induction chemotherapy should not be an option for oral cavity cancer, and in fact it results in worse treatment-related complications compared to surgery," they added.
The study enrolled 19 patients with advanced oral cavity cancer. Patients received an initial dose of chemotherapy, called induction chemotherapy.
Those whose cancer shrunk by half went on to receive additional chemotherapy combined with radiation treatment. Those whose cancer did not respond well had surgery followed by radiation.
The researchers then looked at a comparable group of patients who had surgery and sophisticated reconstruction followed by radiation therapy and found significantly better survival rates and functional outcomes.

Phanibhusan Basu
TONGUE CANCER IS MORE COMMON IN BLOOD GROUP A .
IT WAS PROVED WITH STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE IN A RESEARCH WORK FOR M.D - THESIS WORK BY DR. P . BASU M.D IN 1960 ; M.A.M Medical COLLEGE, DELHI UNIVERSITY , INDIA.
Prevalence of Cancer Tongue in people with Blood Group A was 135 .9 % more ( statistical result 4.34).
Interestingly In case of Cancer Cheek the incidence in Bl. Gr A was - 64.9 % less ( ,, ,, ,,, ,, ,, 5.34 )
Cirrhosis of liver was also found significantly high in Gr, A patients .
In Delhi Bl. Gr.A was only 23 % in Gen Population ( as found ).
In Western People Bl. Gr. A is more common than than Gr. B .
I even suggested in my Thesis to TAKE UP A RESEARCH study IN USA & EUROPE to find out prevalence of Blood Gr, A in Proved Cases [Operated/ otherwise ] of cancer Tongue and to confirm this Statiscal significance and apply in preventive steps .
While in USA (1990-s ) , I even wrote to JAMA and in my own Blogs (' FIRST AMENDMENT') ; with no reply or response otherwise .

Don't know if this effort will carry any information or inspire any research Institute in USA/ New York at all or ever !?
