MAN  THE  BRUTE ;  MAN THE  HUMAN   AND   MAN THE   BEST

  After    Brihadaranyaka  of VEDANTA

THE POEM  :

The  Evolving  Humanity    went to  God
and best  of  them, the  noblest ,  asked  : ' oh  Lord!
What  was   the    meaning of  that   voice   of  YOURS  in  LIGHTNING' ?

The  Divine answered     through  their   Soul
well !  my   son ,  SELF  -  CONTROL
 is the ultimate  GOAL  to   attain  Divinity .

Then came  the Middle  rank or    Evolving  MAN
 and  asked  the    same  question
God   answered    to  them :
---'Learn  to  GIVE    my  son  to  poorer  than  you
    and   I   will  come    down   nearer  to   too .
even  when  you  are  on  this  Earth

Last  Came  the   Lowest, or    Demonic  MEN  
 and   asked  the  HEAVEN  the   same  question  
 for  the  answer  they wanted  to  Find

The  Lord  told  to  them : --' Be  KIND
to  those  weaker  than    you   my  Son
to  rise  to higher  level    until  the   Haven  is  won .
