PIBI'S UNIVERSE : ( Who is Pibi ?)

Born July 1 , 1931. Childhood in a very remote rural village of the-then BENGAL. Saw a train , first, at the age of 15. Suffered the painful experience of PARTITION OF BENGAL (1947) and came to Calcutta as REFUGEE -BOY !
Passed M.B.B.S from Calcutta( 1954) Medical College . Came to Delhi , joined Central Govt. job and while in service , passed M.D ( Medicine-Cardiology) from Delhi University. Worked as Medical Specialist in Safdarjang Hospital and took volutary Retirement as Asstt, Director General ( Medical Education) , Govt of India . ( 1986).
Was a poet and artist by Nature since childhood.After publishing 5 Books of poetry , in Bengali , from Calcutta , held six National -level EXHIBITION of SCULPTUE ( WASTE WOOD) in Delhi & Calcutta with lavish praise from Art -Critics of India and Abroad.
Left for U.S.A in 1993 with green -Card and started writing in Poetry.com and poems published in WHERE DREAMS BEGIN (1993) ISBN 1-56167-039-1 and subsequently in a few others,including CARRYING THE TORCH (2001) ISBN 0-7951-5030-X (others are not with the poet ).
In late 2008 came back to India with Dual -Citizenship ( & OCI) to write on Poetry . com with Experience from his own Cultural Root .
Still writing in Poetry . Com . Now has been declared the LEGENDARY POET ( Poetry .com / National Library of Poetry , U.S.A) and Publishing his poem in "THE STARS IN THE HEART.
And finally, World Poetry Movement 2012 , has Nominated him as one of the winner of $10, 000/ AWARD and also publishing his poem ' Ballad of a Young Love' in this year's book 'World's who is Who of International Poets , 2012.'
Times of India ,Hindustan times, economic times are publishing his Comments regularly on Internet.
His columns are , now a regular feature in Facebook,com.
